Malone University Athletics

 Oprean, a junior from Canton, Ohio (Canton Central Catholic H.S.), paced Malone to a team title at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Florida last Saturday. 

Among a 27-team field at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Malone won the meet as Oprean was the top runner for the Pioneers at the event.  On the 5K women’s course, among 232 runners, she posted an impressive third-place finish in a time of 19:07.20.
