Malone University Athletics

Andrew Trusty, a sophomore from Sycamore, Ohio (Mohawk H.S.) and a member of the Malone men’s cross country team, paced the Pioneers to a first-place finish among a five-team field (all opponents were NCAA Div. I teams) at the University of Akron Tommy Evans Invitational last Thursday. 

Among 41 runners in the field, Trusty paced Malone over the four-mile course and finished in the runner-up spot overall in a time of 20:39.

Malone posted just 36 points with a 2-3-6-10-15 finish to easily defeat runner-up Kent State University, which had 52 points.
