Hollifield, a junior from Louisville, Ohio (Louisville H.S.), paced Malone to the team title at the Ohio Independent Championships last Monday and Tuesday.
At the par-72 Apple Valley Golf Course in Howard, Ohio, Hollifield earned overall medalist honors after carding rounds of 70 and 71 at the two-day event and was named to the All-OIC Team. Malone finished first among four teams with a score of 573 (291-282) and came in 38 strokes ahead of runner-up Cedarville University.
In addition, the team capped off the first-ever undefeated season in the history of the program as the Pioneers won each of the six tournaments in which they competed this spring.
