Jay Hollifield, a junior from Louisville (Louisville H.S.), led Malone to a first-place finish, among a seven-team field, at the Malone Invitational at the par-72 Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance, Ohio last weekend. Jay earned overall medalist honors among 53 golfers in the field by posting a two-day total of 141 (70-71).
In addition, he also helped Malone to a victory in the 17-team field at the NAIA Classic, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University, earlier in the week. At the par 72 Brickyard Crossing Golf Course in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jay made birdie on the first playoff hole to help the Pioneers beat out Grand View (IA) University, the #3 ranked team in the NAIA, in a playoff to win the event.
