Malone University Athletics

Gahagan helped Malone begin American Mideast Conference play with three victories last week as she averaged 4.4 kills per set with a .409 attack percentage in wins over Ursuline, Houghton and Roberts Wesleyan. Gahagan posted double-digit kills in all three matches while also averaging 1.8 digs per set with three service aces, five solo blocks and three block assists.  This week's honor marks her second Malone Athlete of the Week Award of 2010.  The Pioneers, ranked 23rd in the most recent NAIA National Poll, improved their record to 19-1 overall with last week's three victories.
