Avery led the Malone women's cross country team to a first-place finish among a 31-team field at the Gettysburg (PA) College Invitational over the weekend.  Avery, a senior from Canton, defeated over 350 runners on the 6K course, finishing fifth overall in a time of 24:11.87.
