At the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships this past weekend (Feb. 18-19), McArdle was a member of two Pioneer men's relay teams (200 freestyle, 200 medley) that qualified for the NAIA National Championships.
In all, the Malone men's squad set 13 new team records at the event and McArdle was a part of 10 of those performances with five record-setting indivual times (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke) and five record-breaking relay marks (200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle, 200 medley and 400 medley).
McArdle and fellow relay members Mason Geib, Jesse Martin and Christopher Neal will next compete at the NAIA National Championships that will be held March 2-5 in St. Peters, Missouri.
