Corrick, a freshman from Canton, Ohio, had an incredible week at the plate, leading the Pioneers to a 4-4 record. The centerfielder batted .643 (18-for-28) with nine extra-base hits (five doubles, three triples, one homer), six runs scored and 10 RBI.
Corrick hit for the cycle (single, double, triple, homer) in Friday’s opener against Alderson Broaddus University. She is believed to be the first player in Pioneer softball history to accomplish the feat. Corrick then went 4-for-5 at the dish in Saturday’s finale against ABU, extending her hitting streak to 18 games.Â
She currently leads the G-MAC in triples (5) and ranks among the conference's Top 10 in hits (49), runs scored (26), total bases (69), and fielding percentage (.987).Â
