Hurford, a junior starting pitcher from Sebring, Ohio (Sebring McKinley H.S.), tossed a seven-inning no-hitter in game two of a doubleheader sweep of defending G-MAC Champion Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.
The righthander needed just 76 pitches to complete the gem and was just one walk away from a perfect game. The righty struck out three batters, forced three groundouts, and induced 15 fly ball outs as he kept the Battlers off-balance all afternoon and relied on an outstanding defensive performance behind him.
