Goddard, a senior point guard from Wadsworth, Ohio, guided Malone to back-to-back road wins over Caldwell (NJ) and Nyack (NY). She averaged 23.5 points, five rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals across the two games while shooting 64% (16-for-25) from the floor and 62.5% (5-for-8) from three-point range.
On Friday, Goddard scored 15 of her game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the Pioneers overcome a 14-point deficit and defeat Caldwell 79-73. In an 86-42 victory over Nyack less than 24 hours later, Goddard put up 15 of her 18 points in the first half as Malone cruised to its second win of the weekend.
Through 10 games this season, the 5’7” guard is averaging 14.2 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. Goddard ranks 6th in the G-MAC in scoring and 2nd in assists. She currently leads the conference and is 4th in the nation with a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
In addition to her Malone Athlete of the Week Award, Goddard was also named the G-MAC Athlete of the Week.
