Kovanda, a junior defender from Marysville, Ohio (Marysville H.S.), racked up four assists on Thursday during the Pioneers' 5-1 triumph over visiting Ohio Valley University.

Kovanda joined elite company with her assist total as she is just the fourth player in Pioneer women's soccer history to tally four or more assists in a single game (Ali Mueller holds the Malone single-game record with five assists in a win over Ohio Valley in 2004). 

In addition to her offensive contributions, Kovanda also played a key role in the Pioneers' defensive efforts. Ohio Valley scored a goal in the first ten minutes of Thursday's game before Kovanda and the Pioneer defense held them scoreless for the remainder of the match
