Taylor, a native of East Canton, Ohio (East Canton H.S.), took part in the hammer throw and discus competitions at Augustana College's Twilight Invitational on Thursday night.

The junior placed third in the hammer with a heave of 184' 8" and took tenth in the discus with a toss of 180' 8".  

Taylor has broken the school record in the hammer throw six different times this spring while improving his personal-best in the discus on several occasions as well.  

He will make his third straight appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championship Meet this week and enters the event ranked sixth in the discus and 17th in the hammer throw.
