Troyer, a junior from Dover, Ohio (Garaway H.S.), recorded a pair of Top 5 individual finishes last week.Â
He tied for fourth overall at the Cliffs Intercollegiate in South Carolina after firing a final-round score of 71 on Tuesday. Troyer then earned medalist honors at the GLIAC Spring Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky over the weekend, leading the Pioneers to a third-place team finish.
At the GLIAC event, Troyer was tied for second with his opening round of 74. He then fired a five-under-par final round of 67 on Saturday to win the tournament by four strokes. Troyer was the only one of the 75 competitors in the field to finish with a total score under par (-3 with a 141) and his 67 on Saturday marked the lowest individual round of the weekend.
