Eckard, a senior from Kurnach, Germany, put together a strong showing at the GLIAC Championships last week.

Eckard finished runner-up in the 200 freestyle in a new school record time of 1:39.00.  He also was a part of the Pioneers' second-place 400 freestyle relay unit and teamed with Hector Gonzalez, Tim Collet, and Cory Boogaart to break the school record in the 800 freestyle relay.

In addition, Eckard registered NCAA Division II National Championship "B" cut times in both the 100 & 200 yard freestyle.
