Rector, a junior from Green, Ohio (Green H.S.), blazed to a first-place finish in the 500-meter run at the University of Findlay's Northwest Ohio Invitational on Friday.

Her winning time of 1:22.64 was just shy of her own personal record and nearly two seconds faster than her closest competitor on Friday.
