Campbell, a sophomore from Waldo, Ohio (River Valley H.S.), earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships on Saturday by placing 38th among 247 of the nation’s best runners.Â

Campbell, who was representing the Pioneer women’s cross country team as an individual, registered a time of 21:22.1 over the 6K course. She is the seventh Malone athlete overall and second Pioneer women’s cross country runner to earn the prestigious NCAA Division II All-America award.Â

Notably, Campbell is also the first athlete in school history to achieve NCAA All-America status as a sophomore.Â
