Smith, a junior from Madison Heights, Michigan, helped the Pioneers pick up a big 2-1 victory at Saginaw Valley State University this past Friday.

With under six minutes remaining in regulation, Smith netted her ninth goal of the season to give Malone a 2-0 advantage.  The late score proved to be the game-winner as SVSU got on the scoreboard in the final minute of the match.

Smith is currently ranked fourth in the GLIAC in goals scored and is now 12th on Malone's all-time list with 20 career goals.
