Trusty, a senior from Sycamore, Ohio (Mohawk H.S.), helped lead Malone to a ninth-place team finish, among 32 teams, at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky last Saturday.
Trusty earned a 10th-place individual finish, among 245 runners, with a time of 30:55.7 over the 9560-meter course. He and teammate Ryan Roush (16th) earned NCAA All-America honors (top 40), becoming the first men's Pioneer cross country runners to do so and joining last year's women's All-American Tina Oprean as the only Malone cross country student-athletes to achieve the prestigious honor.
