Sophomore Alexa Holztrager is this week’s Malone University Athlete of the Week after going 7-for-9 with six runs scored, five rbi’s and four doubles in the Pioneers' season-opening sweep of Bluefield State College (WV) last Saturday.

Holztrager was particularly impressive in Malone’s 19-0 victory in game 1 of the doubleheader, going 5-for-5 at the plate with four runs, four rbi’s, and three doubles. She followed that up with a 2-for-4 performance with an rbi double in Malone’s 11-3 win in game 2.
