Najjar, a freshman forward from Richfield, Ohio, led the Pioneers to a 1-1-1 record in three matches last week by tallying two goals and one assist.Â
She opened the week on Monday by registering an assist in Malone's 1-1 tie with Eastern Oregon University. Najjar then helped the Pioneers capture their first-ever GLIAC victory on Friday, scoring the game-tying goal in Malone’s 2-1 double overtime win over Saginaw Valley State University.
She followed up that performance with another second-half, game-tying goal on Sunday against Northwood University before Malone eventually fell to the Timberwolves by a final score of 2-1.
Through her first six collegiate matches, Najjar has netted a total of five goals and two assists and enters the week tied for the conference lead in both goals scored and points.
