Malone University Athletics

Oprean, a senior from Canton (Central Catholic H.S.), paced the Malone women to victory at the Tommy Evans Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron, last Thursday. The Pioneers defeated host Akron along with Kent State University, Youngstown State University and Marshall University (WV).

Oprean captured the individual women’s title as she finished first among 45 runners in the field with a time of 18:32 over the 5k course.
