The Malone men’s and women’s cross country teams have an on-campus course that runs through a large portion of the 96-acre campus. The course consists of gentle rolling hills and even one or two steep grades that provide a challenge to runners. This course plays host to the annual Malone Cross Country Invitational, one of the largest meets in the Midwest, in which nearly 3000 junior high and high school runners compete in approximately 15 races on one day of competition. The course, which has also held collegiate races through the years, is also used for high school district meets and other area competitions.
