The Malone University men's basketball team is set to take on Point Park this Saturday at home. The Pioneers will be back at home on Tuesday against Penn State DuBois for the final contest before Christmas.

Saturday's contest against Point Park will be Malone's Youth Basketball Night. All youth basketball players (eighth grade and younger) wearing their jersey will enjoy free admission to the contest that begins at 6 p.m. Family and friends accompanying youth to the game will pay $1 per ticket.

Tuesday's contest will be Christmas themed. There will be free admission as Malone's gift to its fans. There will be hot chocolate and cookies on sale for $1. There will also be holiday music throughout the game and decorations.

The Pioneers are 14-11 all-time against Point Park. The two teams have not squared off since they were conference opponents in the NAIA back in the 2010-2011 season. Point Park was able to win both contests that season. This will be the team's first meeting against Penn State DuBois.

The Pioneers came close to knocking off Findlay, who has started off 5-0 in conference play, in their most recent contest. Ty Jordan exploded for a career-high 41 points in the contest against Findlay. He is leading the conference with 22.2 points per game. Nate Sheppard tacked on seventeen points. Djuro Pantos achieved a double-double, scoring ten points and grabbing sixteen rebounds. Mitchell Spotleson eclipsed the 1,000 career points in the contest as well. The Pioneers continue to lead the conference in free-throw percentage, shooting 78% from the line. Malone is shooting 39.9% from the three-point line, second best percentage in the conference. The Pioneers are making a conference-leading 11.3 three-pointers per game.
