- Head Coach Tanya Hockman is in her 17th season. She has a career record of 407-239.

- Mallory Adams and Elizabeth Maczuzak lead the offense with 2.63 and 2.54 kills per set.
- Sarah Brent tallied a season-best 13 kills in Malone's last match against Tiffin.
- Setter Cathryn Miller is dishing out 8.13 assists per set – the 9th best rate in the GLIAC. She adds a team-high 10 service aces.
- The Pioneers' defense is led by Maggie Hamrock (3.00 digs per set), Maczuzak (2.26 digs and 0.64 blocks per set), and Haley Kool (0.63 blocks per set)

Grand Valley State Notes:
- The Lakers are coached by Deanna Scanlon who has posted over 530 wins in her 21-year career
- Freshman middle blocker Staci Brewer is 4th in the GLIAC in kills per set (3.33), 9th in blocks per set (1.00), and 11th in attack percentage (.318)
- Senior Kaleigh Lound, an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention selection last fall, leads the team in blocks per set (1.22) and is second in kills per set (2.19) and attack percentage (.258)
- Taylor Shomin paces the Lakers' defense with 4.51 digs per set – good for 4th in the conference.
- GVSU beat Malone in three sets in 2014 (25-20, 25-22, 25-14)

Ferris State Notes:
- The Bulldogs are led by Tia Brandel - Wilhelm who has collected over 415 wins in 20 seasons.
- Caroline Heitzman, a 2014 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention selection, is 6th in the GLIAC with 3.23 kills per set, 5th in the GLIAC with 1.11 blocks per set, and leads the team with a .313 attack percentage.
- Megan Van Der Meer, a First Team All-GLIAC pick last season, is second on the team in kills per set (2.89) and total points (119.5)
- Danielle Dowd leads the Bulldogs' defense with 4.40 digs per set – 9th in the GLIAC
- Ferris, the defending GLIAC champions, defeated Malone 25-11, 25-18, 25-22 in last season's lone matchup

Wheeling Jesuit Notes:
- Head Coach Christy Benner has compiled 431 wins in just 14 seasons with the Cardinals
- WJU's balanced offensive attack features four women averaging over 2.50 kills per set: Haley Kindall (2.95), Kayce Krucki (2.69), Emma Schleucher (2.63), and Lauran Graves (2.53) whose .389 attack percentage ranks her 30th in the nation.
- Setter Andrea Thobe, the 2014 Mountain East Conference Female Athlete of the Year award recipient, ranks 2nd in all of NCAA DII with 511 total assists, and 15th in assists per set (11.50)
- The Cardinals' defense is led Graves who is averaging 1.26 blocks per set (18th in the nation) and Jessica Thobe who is second in the MEC with 4.73 digs per set.
- Wheeling Jesuit thwarted Malone 25-17, 25-19, 25-12 in last season's contest.
