Win Streak Now At Three Games For Women's Tennis With 5-4 Victory Over Wittenberg

Freshman Asia Harris earned a hard-fought three-set victory at # 1 singles 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-4 over her opponent in Malone's 5-4 victory at Wittenberg University on Saturday.

The Malone University women's tennis team earned its third straight victory with a thrilling 5-4 win at Wittenberg University on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers collected four singles wins and one doubles match victory to ensure their total match win over the Tigers.  With the win, the Pioneers are now 4-7 overall (0-6 GLIAC) while Wittenberg dropped to 2-1 overall.

After losing two of the three doubles matches, the Pioneers needed to take four of six singles matches and they did just that by taking the top four singles spots.

Asia Harris was the lone "double winner" for Malone as she captured a grueling three-set victory at #1 singles by the score of 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-4 and also posted an 8-3 #3 doubles win with teammate Marie Konstan.
